Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and FHE Labs(“we”, “us”) about your use of the Fhenix Pay app and this website. By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the app. Our Privacy Policy explains how data is handled.

1. The app

Fhenix Pay is a self-custodial wallet for confidential payments built on Fhenix CoFHE. It is a beta and currently works only with test networks (Arbitrum Sepolia and Ethereum Sepolia). Test-network tokens have no monetary value and may be reset or removed at any time. Features may change, break, or be withdrawn without notice.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 and able to enter into this agreement. You may not use the app if doing so is prohibited by the laws that apply to you, including sanctions laws.

3. Your wallet and your keys

  • You alone control your wallet. Your private key and recovery phrase are created and stored on your device; we never have them.
  • We cannot access, freeze, recover, or reverse anything in your wallet. If you lose your recovery phrase and your device, your funds are lost for good.
  • Keep your recovery phrase private and offline. Anyone who has it controls your funds.
  • If you use a Ledger, your keys and their backup are governed by the Ledger device, and you are responsible for its recovery phrase.

4. Transactions

  • You start and approve every transaction and signature. Check the recipient, amount, network, and request details before you approve.
  • Blockchain transactions are final. Once sent, they can't be canceled or reversed by you, by us, or by anyone else.
  • Network fees (gas) are paid to the blockchain network, not to us. We don't charge fees for using the app.
  • The app decodes requests from dApps to show what they do. That decoding is a best effort and may be incomplete; treat anything marked unverified with extra care.

5. What confidentiality covers

Confidential tokens encrypt balances and transfer amounts. They do not make you anonymous: wallet addresses, the fact that a transaction happened, public balances, and unshield claim amounts are visible on the blockchain. A permit you share with someone lets them read the data it covers until it expires or you revoke it; revoking stops future reads but can't undo what they have already seen. If you post a permit on-chain, the permit itself (who you share with, what it covers, and until when) is public and permanent.

6. Third-party services and dApps

The app relies on services we don't control, such as blockchain networks and RPC providers, and lets you use third-party dApps and websites. We aren't responsible for them, their availability, or what they do with your data or transactions. Using them is at your own risk and may be subject to their own terms.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the app or this website to:

  • break any law, including sanctions and anti-money-laundering laws;
  • defraud, deceive, or harm others;
  • attack, overload, or interfere with the app, the pairing server, the Fhenix networks, or other users.

8. Intellectual property

The app, its design, and this website are owned by FHE Labs or its licensors. Open-source components are provided under their own licenses. These terms don't give you rights to our names or logos.

9. No warranty

The app and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. This is beta software for test networks.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, FHE Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of tokens, funds, data, or profits, arising from your use of the app, including losses caused by lost keys or recovery phrases, transactions you approved, bugs, or third-party services and dApps. Some jurisdictions don't allow some of these limits, in which case they apply only as far as permitted.

11. Changes and ending use

We may update the app and these terms. When we change the terms, we'll update the date at the top; continuing to use the app means you accept the new version. You can stop using the app at any time by using Delete Wallet and uninstalling it. We may stop offering the app; your wallet and funds on the blockchain stay yours, and you can export your private key from Settings to use them in another wallet.
